ABOUT US
We’re not just skaters, we’re skate enthusiasts. At Skateline, we want to build inline skating not just as a serious sport, but also as a safe, healthy and enjoyable fitness activity for all ages.
Skateline traces its beginnings back to Singapore in June 1998, when founder Felix Yeo attained a Level 1 certification under the Inline Certification Programme (ICP) from the International Inline Skating Association (IISA). He started teaching skating on a freelance basis in Singapore, and, in April 1999, incorporated Skateline as a sole proprietorship. The first inline proshop was opened in October that year to serve the needs of the growing skate community in the island republic.
In July 2005, managing director Eusoffe Chua brought Skateline across the causeway into Malaysia, with our first outlet in Taman Tun Dr Ismail. After eight years, we've since moved into a larger premise at Section 17, where we have an integrated HQ with two showrooms and a skating rink. From pioneers of the inline skate business in this country, we are proud to be known as the largest skate shop in Malaysia.
To facilitate the growth and promotion of inline skating in Malaysia, we adopted a three-pronged approach in our business model:
SKATE RETAIL
As the largest skate shop in Malaysia, we bring in the widest range of the newest skate models — recreational, speed, freestyle, aggressive and hockey skates — together with protective gear and other accessories.
SKATE ACADEMY
We believe that anybody can skate, and we’re invested in helping both young and old to skate the right and safe way. Skateline sets the standards for inline skating instruction, adhering to the international requirements of the Inline Certification Program International (ICP).
SKATE COMMUNITY
Skating is more fun with friends. We bring skaters together for community skates and activities, as well as partner with other skating groups to organize skating events and competitions.
